Our responsibility to the Miniature Schnauzer breed is taken seriously. We are committed to producing dogs that look, move, and behave as a true Miniature Schnauzer should — according to the Breed Standard.

  • We know the Breed Standard and use it as our blueprint.
  • We aim to meet and uphold the Breed Standard in every litter.

  • We show and prove our dogs, whether bred by us or imported. We place a high value on independent evaluation by judges, defining success as our dogs consistently being awarded above others of the same breed.

Breeder accountability

As breeders, we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards, ensuring every decision is made with the welfare of our dogs as the top priority.

  • We are fully registered with the ANKC and DogsWest — the only legitimate purebred canine registry in Australia.
  • We work with respected, seasoned mentors in the breed — learning, growing and collaborating with those who share their wisdom generously.

  • We are committed to continuous learning in genetics, breeding, whelping, natural rearing and puppy-raising best practices. Teamwork truly makes the dream work.

Health accountability

Our goal is simple: to raise the healthiest puppies we possibly can, starting with optimal health in our breeding dogs.

  • We conduct full DNA breed panel testing for known, testable conditions.
  • Our dogs are raised on a raw, species-appropriate diet and drink reverse-osmosis filtered water.
  • We complete annual eye testing with a veterinary ophthalmologist.
  • All breeding dogs are pre-screened for health and temperament.

  • We maintain a low-tox home environment, using all-natural cleaning products and avoiding chemicals and artificial fragrances.

ANKC: The Original Purebred Dog Registry in Australia

When it comes to ethical breeding, not all registries — or breeders — are created equal.

Did you know?

In Western Australia, ANKC-registered breeders (under it’s Western Australian body, DogsWest) must meet strict requirements before they’re even allowed to breed:

  • Be a paid member for at least 12 months before registering a litter
  • Pass two formal exams — including one with a mandatory 100% pass rate — covering ANKC regulations, breeding ethics, canine biology, mating and whelping

  • Be bound by strict rules and regulations, including age restrictions for breeding females and limits on the number of litters — with serious penalties for non-compliance

This level of oversight exists to protect the welfare of dogs and ensure responsible, educated breeding.
